This Diwali

The aroma of sweets is inviting, the decor rejuvenating, colourful lights brighten the rooms, fragrance of flowers that’s sublime, the serenity and peace with this newness seems captivating. Diwali has come, with it’s own meaning and message!

When we see, feel and observe, we realize: these festive days engage us meaningfully to ourselves. We rejoice in this togetherness. Adorning every nook and corner of the home, cleaning for months, though it, beforehand. Every year, a new me is formed and carved out of the older me. Life changes, so does its meaning, as we progress. What doesn’t change is the eternal truth and our seeking to know who I am.

This Dhanteras reminded of the wealth and blessings that we have. The self, family, relationships, friends, work, profession, skills, talents, natural abilities and competence, art and craft, music and melody. Nature and the mother earth, nation and languages, culture, and rituals. Health, food and crops, wealth, education, travel, power, beauty, this human birth and what not! The list of our wealth is endless! How we perceive and what we worship is up to us. A time today to reflect and be grateful for the abundant richness that we all are unconditionally blessed with.

This Diwali lets ignite the self with the sanskar diyas of love, care, affection, gratitude, loyalty, faithfulness, peace, trust, surrender and the truth of knowing the ultimate. Placing all these Diyas at the seat of our consciousness.

May this light dispels the ignorance, burning the vices of ego, greed, anger, lust, possessiveness within each one of us.

Wishing a very blissful and prosperous Diwali to all of us!
