He has been waiting since he has come to this place.
Unknown to the ways of his life, uncertainties and memories of the past somehow overpowered him every now and then. This young boy has just come to this place after his research and struggle of a year long. Quiet though he was in his appearance, not silent in his mind.
Perturbed and impulsive, unlike him, he found everyone else absorbed in their work, they looked calm and placid instead.
They would smile when he would ask them anything. There was affection and acceptability, the compassion he could feel so alive.
Unlike his room, their rooms were filled with aroma, lit with candles, the fragrance of flowers, less things, less speech was the practice of this place as if. This arrangement was appealing to him.
He had heard a lot about the Masters. He was inquisitive and eager for his lessons to be imparted. He had waited and struggled hard to come to this place. Now, he was although more restless. The lessons in self mastery, he was told, he would be given in the simplest of ways by following life’s practices.
When the day came to meet the Master, he couldn’t sleep the whole night. The morning felt promising. He felt strange but happy within. Eager and elated, he waited in the allocated room. The empty room was filled with silence. The window allowed the breeze to be felt, the rays of sun lit up the room, the chirping of the birds was giving him company.
He was alone but somehow felt complete for the first time. There was some change taking place since he had arrived at this place. And now, when he was waiting for his Master to come, he felt it so strong.
Was it because of this place or something that has changed within himself? He was probing and self introspecting for the first time in all these years. While he was reflecting, he heard the sound of foot steps. He knew the Master has come. He stood in reverence and bowed.
Bowed the Master and smiled to the soul. They sat in the silence. None spoke. Moments passed by, questions melted in young boy’s mind.
Gently the Master opened his eyes and smiled. Smiled he and asked now, “What shall I call my first lesson?” With a blink said the Master, “Nothing!”
Nice post Mam,
It was a soothing read.
Nice Post Mam
It was a soothing read.
A very Good Morning to him.
“Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.”
