Zoya a Girl Full of Life

” Mom, I am finished.”

Her face has become lifeless. It seemed as if her butterfly wings have been broken.

But she could not let go of what she has strived for all these years. She lived and worked so hard. How could she succumb now?

Her mother, an attractive woman with a balanced personality, who could bake cakes for friends and family even when asleep, is love personified. The aroma of chocolates not only fills the ambience of her home, but there are profound lessons that she imparts to Zoya as well. A woman of deep understanding who knows how to strike a balance in life and it is she, who gives ideas to Zoya when she gets overwhelmed by her own success and dreams in her life. Amidst the turmoil in Zoya’s life, holding firmness in her heart and mind, she asks her to go and meet Mrs Subramanium and “get it sorted.”

Mrs Subramanium has been Zoya’s idol. How could she do that? It is she, who has sent Zoya to Chicago. She had worked so hard for this dream project. How happy Zoya was when she had got the opportunity to work with Mrs Subramanium. She was speechless that day. Her eyes were filled with tears. And now she was puzzled.

Zoya’s father, a surgeon, a role model who always prioritized his tasks has been a teacher to her. Recently, however, she hasn’t been able to keep her promises and take care of her mother for her involvement in the project has been such that she sometimes would either forget or wouldn’t get time to be with her.

In this state of bewilderment, she looks for Sahil, whom she has met in Chicago and just within few days have become very good friends with each other. From him,  she received a lot of support on her project and a lot of practical advice. When baffled by so much work, he has asked her to take out time for herself, meditate and manage her time well.

Still, she felt nothing was working! She felt alone and “her reputation was at stake.”

And then she took hold of her life. Took the step that was imperative for her that won the hearts of her team and her parents!

Joys and lively, this story is of Zoya, a girl full of vaulting ambitions, science passion and striving to commit to her family values amidst daunting personal and professional challenges.

We see her as a teenage girl at the beginning and towards the end metamorphosed into a professional who lives her dreams, struggles through her success and then finds her way to fulfilling and meaningful relationships. Her story that we all could relate to and connect so well. Don’t we?

This story is written by Sapna Mangla ma’am with whom I have the privilege to work. Thanks for giving this book to read. Until I read the preface, didn’t know that she is a health care professional, a prosthetic and an Orthotic Engineer. She loves reading books, travelling to new places and making new friends. A keen learner that she is, she shares her profound thoughts and feeling through her blog on various topics of her interests and experiences at momspresso.

Thanks, Sapna Ma’am for this book once again and for sowing the seed of Zoya’s zeal for life within each one of us!
