Bidding Adieu

Today was their last day at Bramhali. How these months passed, it was difficult for them to imagine now. For the purpose and mission, for which they had come, they couldn’t observe and monitor for all these months, however a change, transformation had occurred. This inner transformation was visible and noticeable for each one of them.

Soul of Bramhali was intact, being there, in front of temple of Mother Kaza they all gathered. They all sat together, Pallav, Dorjee, Sanghaya and Rudraksh. A deep sense of satisfaction and calmness they experienced. Time, they felt, had stopped for them, for sometime. In this moment of fulfilment and accomplisment, they were full of gratitude.

They offered their prayers to Mother Kaza and bowed for the courage and perseverance that they felt during the toughest of times they witnessed here at Bramhali. In moments of crisis and tough decisions, they had always come to seek guidance here at the temple of Mother Kaza and they felt their queries were answered.

While they had come for six months,  it was almost 11 months now. They helped people at Bramhali in constructing their homes. The thatched roofs were now stable and ready to protect them from heavy rain showers. A center for local craft work was created besides the temple. Everyday, women and men, who found interest in a variety of local craft would design their material and when finished, this was exported to nearby areas. This helped them build their economy and finances. Women now understood the importance of education, at the craft center, they would come and spend their time in reading newspaper and reading anything that they liked for a local library was also build to fecilalte their learning and education.

Youth were full of enthusiasm to witness this new change and progress at Bramhali. They had ground to play, library to read, craft center to engage in work and local workshop to learn and grow. They were confident and full of new ideas and energy. They felt immensely proud of their tradition, culture and place. This place gave them a new identity and feeling of great pride in who they were and what they sevoured here at Bramhali.

When they had come, they all were being welcomed with garland and today also, they were given local herbs to take along, that had medical values, sacks of food grains and hand embroided clothes from this place.

From following Meditation practice, they had rigorously worked here. They understood the power and deep impact of involment in work now. Their minds were full of creativity, new ideas, zeal and calmness now. They also understood the deep connect in patterns of their mind and work, that gave them engagement and complete absorption. They all felt happiness inexplicable.

Besides packing their bags, they had tightly packed a lot of memorable experiences from this place. Soupla, their favorite drink, was served again. This time, when the lady came, they looked into each others eyes and laughed for they new, the custom and meaning now. It tasted different now. The taste had changed or their perception of the change, they couldn’t surmise at the moment.

With courage they asked to fill their thermos with soupla and it was being served. They expressed their gratitude and promised to come again. In embrace, they all melted.

Rudraksh captured a photo from his phone. They sat and then drove.

One day they all had come, today, a new one that they all had become, were on the move. Music was loud in the grounds of Bramhali. Their mirth and merriment intermixed with that melody of Bramhali.
