Carpe Diem

An introvert and shy, he wouldn’t express himself often. The reason, he didn’t find people interesting. It was like a crowd following a trail; trends of habits, goals, talks, ideas, reactions, boundaries, buttering, fake smiles, fancy relations weaker than the thinnest threads. It just never amused him.

When The Life’s Book came into existence, from being just a regular reader and liker on Facebook, who would simply comment “nice pic”, he started writing revelations profound, walking on the path to knowing himself.

Carpe diem, he believes in.  Seize the day and make most out of it rather than living in the past or thinking about the future. Something that becomes more relevant in the times of covid -19.

Gaining knowledge is easy, but application of that knowledge makes us wise. It is on this path he is. In a few written conversations that we had, he unveiled some of the wisdom pearls that adorn the path of knowledge.
Writes Prashant:
Preaching is easy. Practising difficult. Gaining knowledge and application of that knowledge are two different things. Pilot surely takes the flight to the destination but reaching to the airport is the passenger’s duty. All cooked bite has been put up in the mouth but chewing is our responsibility. This is the moral of my learnings. So seize everyday and practice what’s learnt on a regular basis.
Further, empty or full?  An optimist sees the glass half full; a pessimist half empty. Perspective thus is important.

The famous example learned in school, seems to be limited to the syllabus only. But it was supposed to be absorbed deeply in our nature. We have read and admired many motivational quotes, their impact doesn’t last long. We all have witnessed it. Why? Unless we practice its core message in our regular lives, it can never bring any fruit to us.

We all know that life is full of ups and downs, then why do we lose our balance frequently. Nowadays even a child’s life is getting much tougher than it had ever been. Life will not change its course for anybody. We will never completely get rid of setbacks. A time comes when we lose everything despite the best of our efforts. Sometimes the best efforts fail drastically and we lose everything. But even in the darkest of hours, we can always focus on the brighter side. We must analyze what’s still remaining with us, is there any opportunity or not, if there is no hope, then at least we can look at our previous setbacks which didn’t end our lives. The optimism may not change the situation, but it may help us to rise better.

In every journey there will be many thorns on the way which can’t be removed. Wearing shoes on our own feet will not let us hurt. The thorns are still on the way but we have changed the perspective towards the journey. Perspectives can create a balance in the midst of chaos. It’s our choice to be an optimist or a pessimist. The light at the end of a dark tunnel is not an illusion, the tunnel is.

With all these perspectives just “seize the “. Practice carpe diem spirit to live to the fullest!
