When she got completely exhausted, she sat and looked up at the painting on the wall, holding the packet of medicine and thermo flask in her hand. Clad, like always, neatly in her chiffon and zari suit.
A lot of work has already taken toll over Aum. He was pretending to be relaxed, while there was constant struggle in his mind regarding what to prioritise… where to begin and focus and then what to complete first and then complete what his mom had asked him to finish today.
He was working and cooking and there her eyes relaxed and soothed. She always found that painting dear to her that she purchased from the craft fair. The imagery remained the same, however, its meaning kept on changing as she progressed in her journey of life.
While she was still gazing and reflecting she heard a sharp noise.
In a startled way she asked, “wish every thing is fine, Aum?”
“Yes mom just that jar of pickle fell while frying those puris…”
“Don’t worry, everything is okay.
Feeling frustrated Mom…”
She smiled and said, “you need not, this happens with everyone.”
“Then what to do, mom?”
“Just slow down a bit… and then… continue doing what you are doing Aum. Complete what you intend and started.”
Aum turned and then took the fruits basked from the freeze and then it fell again from his hands.
A thud again…
And they both laughed again…
“Aum….”Shouted she….
“Continuing Mom” replied he laughingly.
