Make Mistakes!

The moment you sit, think and plan to do something, there is this inner resistance that comes and sits by your side.  You want to do the things and then get intimidated by fear. Fear of failure. Fear of making mistakes. Fear of being embarrassed.

Now tell me, if you don’t make mistakes, who would then?

We have been recommended and trained to do the things as if we know all the art and the science since our childhood.

When I look at copies of Anvay, I wish  there to be no red ink and no teacher’s comment. But the very next moment, I realise how important those signs and corrections are for his learning and knowledge gain.

To be right always is not right. Even right, with the passage of time and context, may become wrong. Here I am referring to perspective and not technical knowledge. What I have written here is dipped in little philosophical tint, but then, how can writing be bereft of this?

Listen to others but know why they say so. Find out reasons behind their recommendations and suggestions. They speak from their experience. You too should speak from your experience.

Hardly I know anyone who has reached to great heights just by being correct or right all the time. The more we make mistakes, the sharper and more we have in our experience kitty to learn from.

The saying that the only one who never makes a mistake is the one who never does a work is my favourite.

Take steps, make mistakes, learn from them and then move ahead!

Mistakes are wonderful sign of progress.

Try new things. Break the old patterns. Think out of the box.

  • Very nice ma’m. Truly said “The more we make mistakes, the sharper and more we have in our experience kitty to learn from”. I always say to my students and team fellows, ” Don’t hesitate to make a mistake, just hesitate to repeat it. Every time make a new mistake, and learn a new thing.”

      Very well said Prashant!
Yes, making mistakes is a secret mantra to live a richer and fuller life. In life, live without fear of failures. Live with profound and meaningful experiences.
Ready to make mistakes, if you find none along, be assured, I am there with you. God bless!

“Every Failure is an opportunity to learn something new”

Great article Mam. I am POY. 🙂

What I have learnt from you Abhishek is your indefatigable spirit to learn, learn from everyone, learn from every situation, learn from every problem, learn from every mistake and learn from every failure.
That’s what makes me always say to you: I was, I am and I shall always be Proud Of You:)
      God bless POY boy.

The best line with which I can relate myself.
The learnings come from mistakes and it really doesn’t matter if we Fail, coz “A failure makes U a Guide and a Success carves out the Leader out of U”.
    Nicely written.

      Very well said Ravi.
Interestingly, I could see a guide and a leader both inside you. Keep going, you would reach to a state, where failure and success would not define you, but you would define what is success and failure for you and then, what it means to be just you, and then you would reach to a state when even failure and success would not matter to you, would not touch you, you would be just above them!
      Blessings and best wishes!
