Moments in Life!

Life is simple, we make it complicated. Life is beautiful, we make it ugly. Life is great, we make it small. Life is adventurous and we make it mundane.

But on the other hand there are people whose lives are truly complex and they make it simpler. Life is ugly for them, but they make it beautiful. Life started small for them, but they made it great with their efforts and it was mundane for them but they truly made it adventurous.

I know you all know this already . But what I just want to share with you is the power of moments in  every day life . They are fleeting and ephemeral. But if caught rightly, they could be epiphanic. I hope you know what I am taking.

Unfortunately what we all long for is , is instant gratification. Instant reply. Instant answer and instant success. Without changing our thoughts, without taking right actions, without controlling our mood swings and without managing our anger, without meaningful purpose and vision in life and without any value addition.  What we want is a feeling of instant satisfaction. What we live is the life of others, as others expect us to live, we have borrowed dreams and just like lives shown on TV and magazines, they become our soul ambition. And what we do in their realization, we compete with others, without competing with ourselves.

And what we miss and don’t tap is the power of everyday moments and their fruitful direction.

Life is truly made up of simple moments. These moments, lived with emotion, intensity, purpose, commitment and love create peace and happiness which is the most longed possession in the kind of fast world in which we are living today. Fast cars, fast gadgets, fast connectivity and fast success, this is what we all want. But can we deliver babies so fast? And what about growing of plants in a day? And can you write your dream book with the click of a mouse button? And can you get success delivered at your door step just with click of an order at Amazon or Flipkart? I think you know the answers.

So, certain things take time, we much accept this, we must allow them to grow at their pace and we must be patient with them. What we must check is how our moments are spent in pursuit of those dreams and those missions. It is one moment that creates, leads and produces many moments.

And in the pursuit of your dreams, it is okay to fail in you venture, it is okay to take incorrect decisions. It is okay to take risks in life and it is okay to be rejected in your true love. And it is okay to moan in pain and it is okay to suffer in grief. Because it is amidst these moments we find peace and search for the true meaning in life.

What is important is that we must realise the power of these moments and live them with purpose.

So just find your dream and use the wealth of your powerful moments which are with you all the time, 24*7. Tap them, exploit them and live the life of your beautiful and AWESOME DREAMS.

Truly inspiring words ma’am. I loved it, especially the part about instant gratification. I think this is one of the worst things we millennials put up with and never realize. Maybe that’s the way we grew up, but needs to change. Also, I totally agree with you, that everything today is so fast paced, we don’t have enough time to stop, turn and look around the things we miss on the way, the things we love and the things that really matter. “The best things in life, take a while and are always worth the wait.” – Just popped up in my head but I am sure somebody important said that.

Speaking of the doing things we love, the Pratibha ma’am I remember, never had a “moment” of rest, always running around the college, taking classes, putting up with lazy students, organizing some or the other event and attending meetings. I am so happy that you finally decided to sit down and indulge in the one of the things you love.
P.S – Keep it up ma’am, way to go! 🙂

    • Pratibha says:

Thank you soooo much Sameer for expressing you feelings in such a great way. I am moved and deeply touched by this gesture of yours!
My moments at college were totally crazy and I must say that I truly enjoyed and loved all those moments, with students, friends and colleagues. Be it teaching in class or running for the college events I was there with my full heart and soul. And I must say that the moments I invested there are now giving me immense dividends in terms of my immense thoughts and love in the form of such heart touching comments.
Thanks for you best wishes dear, keep in touch and always be blessed!

      Very true Mani,

Our parents are our biggest strength in our lives. My father and My father-in-law, that means your father, are great sources of inspiration in my life. My father-in- law’s commitment towards his work and dedication for his entire family is truly great and unmatched. He is indeed the true leader of our family. And it is from such people that we learn so much and we feel so great !
I am indeed blessed to be part of such an amazing family. I am proud to be his daughter-in-law!
